What endorses Metal Lube?
In 1985, METAL LUBE was created and is introduced to the automotive and industrial market with the purpose of mitigating operating costs, introducing a new generation of high technology ANTIFRICTION lubricants. In the period from 1985 to 1990 it obtained the recognition of the American market, reaching commercial success. Research and development (R & D) have made it possible for METAL LUBE formulas to undergo constant evolution, submitting to stricter tests and controls in order to offer our customers greater benefits than they can obtain. with other commercial products also called antifriction. During the last years METAL LUBE has been reinforced with its presence in many countries, being endorsed by important companies and millions of users around the world.

METAL LUBE products are recognized all over the world and considered as the world leader in antifriction.

What factors affect the wear of an engine?
The cold start period
The studies carried out have determined that an engine during the cold start suffers the greatest wear that some get to determine by more than 80%, considered the most critical period until the engine reaches its working temperature. When the cold start of an engine occurs, the lubrication is quite deficient to reduce the coefficient of friction by interposition between the surfaces subjected to contact, consequently, this friction produces wear and the severity of this depends on the nature of the surfaces , its finishing status and loading effects. The harmful effect of the particles is so important that it has been determined that particles of a size of 6 microns in the oil can increase the coefficient of friction (or friction) by 5 times its normal value.

This effect is more marked where the conditions of lubrication are more severe, in the bearings of connecting rod and crankshaft.

Poor lubrication

The primary function of a lubricant is to reduce the coefficient of friction by interposition between surfaces subjected to contact. Its absence or poor lubrication will cause wear in all those points that need the presence of lubricating oil to avoid metal-to-metal contact.

The excess temperature

The excessive temperature affects the lubrication enough, especially when it exceeds a value that can cause the loss of the characteristics of the lubricant, decreasing its film, and in some cases reaching breakage, causing an increase in friction and damaged surface. Excessive temperatures cause thermal degradation and can cause the polymerization of the lubricant and additives since they can be unstable and become insoluble. Internal and external contaminants In the oils of internal combustion engines are present pollutants such as water and metals that act as catalysts and accelerate oxidation, resulting in acids, sludges, resins, varnishes and mud.
The fuel (gasoline or diesel oil) is present in the used oils of engines. When it reaches high levels they cause a decrease in the viscosity and quality of the oil.

The completion of the pieces
Apparently, a surface may seem smooth, but when viewed under a microscope, it presents a series of roughnesses. Its state of completion will depend on the mechanization process by which it was made. The factors that condition friction are the state of the surfaces (surface layers and finish), surface contact (areas of actual contact and effective contact area) and load effects (nature of contact and influence of roughness).

Why different formulas?
METAL LUBE has abandoned the multipurpose formula in order to offer maximum performance in each system. Just as lubricating oils have been designed to offer maximum work guarantees, METAL LUBE has specially designed its formulas to guarantee the highest performance in each application.
Each system requires a type of lubricating oil of different typical physical characteristics, which may well be an engine oil, a gear oil, an ATF, a hydraulic oil, a compressor oil, a turbine oil, etc., based on we will use the METAL LUBE formulas, as appropriate:
